Our Story
Like many young girls, Jessica grew up loving and dreaming of horses. She prayed often that one day, God would bring her a horse to love. He did, and He doubly blessed her with Irish and Rohan, who are both represented in the Farm's logo. Through working and growing with Irish and Rohan, as well as an experience on a missions trip, Jess knew what God was calling her to do with her life. She received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cedarville University and a Master's in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. After working toward this goal for over ten years, we are so happy to be able to offer Answered Prayer Farm to our community as a place to renew hope, restore hearts, and see that God does answer our prayers.

It has been a goal of mine for years to serve my community by providing mental health services through the unique and proven methods of Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL). I believe the experiences we have with horses, even as simple as standing with them while they eat, can impact our lives in ways like we have never seen before. I have worked with horses for the majority of my life, and I never cease to be amazed by the incredible influence they can have on a person's life, relationships with people, and relationship with God. Using my degrees in Psychology and Counseling and together with the APF Herd, it is my desire and prayer that this farm is a place of hope, rest, and healing for many people in all walks of life.
